Nissa Gonaduwage

Nissa graduated from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2005 with a Bachelor of Laws. Following an assessment by the Legal Practice Board of Western Australia (LPBWA) under the Uniform Principles for Assessing Qualifications of Overseas Admitted Lawyers, Nissa completed a Bridging Course for Overseas Admitted Professionals at Murdoch University and the specified components of the Practical Legal Training at the College of Law, Western Australia in 2016. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in February 2021. Nissa is also admitted to practice in the Federal Courts, and High Court of Australia.
Nissa joined Nova Legal in February 2026. Prior to joining Nova Legal, Nissa worked at several boutique law firms and a medium-sized firm, gaining experience across a broad range of practice areas, including debt recovery and litigation, wills and estates planning, family law, and conveyancing. In Sri Lanka, she practiced for six years with leading counsel and law firms, specialising in commercial litigation, banking and finance, family law, and criminal law.
